The weather over the past few weeks has been really unpredictable. The weather man says one thing and the weather around Cocoa Beach decides to do another. This has kept us guessing as to what the fish are going to do each day.

Most of the time the speckled trout bite has been pretty good. We are averaging 20 to 40 trout per day, and on some days a few more. Most of the fish are between 12 and 17 inches right now. The Indian River west of Cocoa Beach and east of Orlando is the main area we have been fishing over the past month. Soft plastic paddle tails and popping style top water plugs are working best for us in these waters. We have also landed redfish, jack, shark, and ladyfish on many of our trips this month. Along the beaches cobia, shark, and tarpon are the most popular species right now. We are looking forward to the weather settling down a little bit so that we can get dialed in with a more consistent bite. Stay tune as we will continue to let you know what we’re catching.
